Side Project

I started this project because I wanted bedtime stories with my child as the main character. Most AI tools I tried, like GPT or Gemini, avoid generating recognizable faces, so I decided to build my own solution and turn that idea into something real.

Kid to Story

Website Android

Kid to Story is an app I'm building for parents who want to turn everyday photos of their kids into bedtime stories. You upload a few pictures, pick a theme, and the app turns them into a personalised children's book with matching illustrations that you can read on your phone or share as a digital book.

Behind the scenes it runs on a FastAPI backend with PostgreSQL and Redis/RQ to queue work, ComfyUI to generate the artwork, and ReportLab to assemble the final PDF. The experience is delivered through a React Native + Expo mobile app and a small Next.js web client, with Google sign-in and Stripe handling accounts, purchases, and free trials.
